Model G: Patient Privacy Gown
A collaboration with Carhartt and Henry Ford Health to redesign the hospital patient gown — balancing uncompromised clinical access with genuine patient privacy and dignity.
The Challenge
The standard hospital gown is one of healthcare's most visible failures of patient dignity. Designed primarily for clinical convenience, it exposes patients unnecessarily. The challenge: redesign it without compromising the clinical access providers need.

Research & Collaboration
Partnered with Carhartt and Henry Ford Health to map the full constraint set — access points for monitoring and procedures, infection control, ease of donning, patient comfort, and laundry logistics.

Design Development
Iterated through patterns, materials, and closure systems to find the intersection of clinical functionality and genuine privacy coverage.

Outcome
A gown that gives patients back their privacy without adding friction to clinical care.
